Former WCCC baseball player soaking up the sun

Youngwood, PA - 2014 NJCAA All-American baseball player Steven Bender has taken his baseball talents south to Flagler College in Florida and has secured a roster spot for the 2015 season. Flagler will open their season on February 2nd against Trinity Baptist. Bender, a transfer from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown, had a stellar sophomore season in helping the Wolfpack reach the NJCAA Regional XX finals before dropping the championship game to Prince George's CC. Bender stated, "I'm very thankful for all of the help and great coaching I received last year at Westmoreland County CC. It was great, and I wish I would have started out at WCCC and had another year. Hope you all have a good season and good luck!"
