Late Rally Earns WPCC Title for Baseball

Youngwood, PA - Westmoreland CCC and CCAC South passed the lead back and forth eight times on Sunday in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship game but in the end the Wolfpack  pulled out an 8-7 come from behind win over the Tigers. Rafael Amanau's double in the bottom of the 8th brought home Vinnie Shoff and Patrick Jobes which put the Wolfpack up for good. The duo of Amanau and Mitch Matlas teamed up for seven hits and six RBI's on the afternoon as one of Matlas's hits was a two-run homer to left field. Up next, the Wolfpack (19-13) will travel down the Turnpike for regionals beginning May 13-15 at CCAC Boyce.
