Amanau Named Big 5 Player of the Week

Philadelphia, PA – Former Westmoreland County Community College standout baseball player and current La Salle outfielder, Rafael Amanau, was named Big 5 Player of the Week as announced earlier today. The junior batted .583 through 12 at bats last week, including two 3-hit performances against USC Upstate. He helped the Explorers to an 8-1 win over the Spartans, hitting a home run and a double in the contest. While at Westmoreland, Amanau earned third team All-American honors in helping Westmoreland to a 20-15 record while hitting .386 on the season with 29 RBI's. He led the Wolfpack to the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference baseball title and a Region XX post season berth.
