Big Third Inning Sparks Wolfpack to Victory
The Wolfpack put up seven runs as part of a big third inning, on their way to a 13-4 victory, over the St. Vincent College JV team at Westmoreland Thursday afternoon. Westmoreland's big bats were led by Dom Koch, Brayden Patton, Jared Wagner, and Aidan McLaughlin, who each had RBIs in the third inning.
Andy Person was the winning pitcher for Wolfpack. Person surrendered 2 unearned runs on 2 hits over 3.1 innings, striking out 2 and walking 2. A number of pitchers also took to the mound as well, with Luke Savage, Chaz Lankey, Logan Gustafson, and Jared Wagner combining to go 5.2 innings, giving up only 2 runs on 5 hits.
Westmoreland racked up 11 hits in the game. Gustafson (2) and Ronnie Howard (2) each collected multiple hits for Wolfpack. While Bradon Patton, Dom Koch, and Jared Wagner each drove in 2 runs each in the win.
The Wolfpck will be traveling to face NJCAA Region 20 opponent in Prince George's Community College friday at 1pm for the start of a double header. The games will be live streamed on Prince George's YouTube page, the link is on our baseball schedule.
