Bio

Matt Hogue just completed his first season as the pitching coach for the Wolfpack.

Matt returned to the program where he started his collegiate baseball career. After graduating from Greater Latrobe High School, where he was a two-year letterwinner for the baseball program, he went on to play two years for the Wolfpack. In his freshman season, he posted a 6-3 record with a 3.12 ERA, as he recorded 47 Ks over 54.2 innings of work on his way to All-WPCC Honors. Hogue was even better as a sophomore when he earned All-WPCC accolades, as well was First Team All-Region XX and a spot on the All-Region Tournament Team. He went 6-4 with a 2.10 ERA on the mound in 59.1 innings with 42 punchouts.

After earning an associate's degree from Westmoreland with a 3.1 GPA, Hogue transferred to Pitt-Bradford, where was he a conference starter for both years with the program. In his two years, he threw 109 innings for the Panthers and had a 5-6 record with 55 strikeouts.

Hogue returned to Pitt-Bradford the following year to complete his degree and also served as a student-assistant coach for the baseball program. He earned his degree in Exercise Science in 2018 and spent the following fall as a strength and conditioning intern at St. Bonaventure University before returning to the area and the Wolfpack baseball program.
