Men's Basketball Drop Championship Game Late

Pittsburgh, PA - CCAC Allegheny used a flurry of late scoring to hold on and capture the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Championship title 92-83over WCCC.  The Wolfpack exchanged numerous leads off and on throughout the game but couldn't seem to hold on late as the Cougars were on their game. Reuben Edwards led the way for WCCC with 26 points on the afternoon as back court mate, Jordan Johnson skipped in 20 points. WCCC defeated CCAC Boyce on Saturday 100-81 in which the Wolfpack trailed 51-41 at the half, then used a solid defensive effort to shut down the Saints. That set up the championship game with CCAC Allegheny on Sunday. WCCC (14-15) will now be headed to the Region XX Division III Men's Basketball Championships at Anne Arundel Community College which begins on February 19-21.
