WOLFPACK FALL SHORT IN WPCC OPENER AGAINST BUTLER

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. - Tyler Diggs led five players in double figures with 20 points, but the Westmoreland County Community College men's basketball team couldn't outshoot visiting Butler, who escaped with a 102-94 victory Monday night in the WPCC opener for both teams.

Butler held an eight-point lead at halftime and extended it to as many as 16 in the second half before Westmoreland started whittling away at the margin. The Wolfpack managed to get within six at 97-91 with a minute to play after a Diggs trey, but the Pioneers made five foul shots in the final minute to clinch the win.

Diggs did most of his damage in the second half, hitting for 14 of his 20 after the break. Coming off the bench for drop in 18, including four three-pointers, was Jacob Biros, while Joel Lonigro finished with 17 points and Dan McQuaide and Dylan Bubarth both tallied 15.

The Wolfpack are off for the Thanksgiving break and will be back in action on Dec. 2nd in a road contest at the Community College of Beaver County.
