The Westmoreland men's basketball team battled Penn State Dubois at home on Tuesday in their first game of 2023. The game stated out as a defensive battle but midway through the first half the scoring began to pick up. At the end of the first half, Westmoreland was down 47-30. The teams trading a lot of baskets in the second half and played tough defense. Westmoreland won the second half by a score of 34-31 but was not enough to win the game. The final score was Penn State Dubois 78 and Westmoreland 64. William Toye led the way for the wolfpack with 19 points. Westmoreland's next game will be Tuesday Jan. 17 at home against Penns Highlands with tip off at 6pm.
