WOLFPACK GOLFER PLAYS IN WPCC TOURNAMENT

APOLLO, Pa. – Westmoreland County Community College sophomore Trevor Nelson (West Mifflin, Pa.) represented the Wolfpack men's golf team Oct. 13-14 at the 2018 WPCC Tournament, held at The Links at Spring Church.

Nelson opened play on Saturday by shooting 88 on a chilly, breezy day. He came back on Sunday to card 90, but both rounds were significant improvements over his first time on the same course earlier this fall, as he shaved more than 10 strokes off his total.

Butler County Community College earned the WPCC Team Championship over the weekend, while the individual medalist for the tournament was Zack Harvey from Garrett College, who shot a two-day total of 156.

The WPCC Tournament concludes the fall portion of the Wolfpack's schedule. The program will get back together in the spring and begin working towards the NJCAA National Championships, which will be June 4-7 at Chautauqua Golf Club in New York.
