Men's Cross Country Finish 2nd at Regionals

Reston, VA - Regis Pekar paced the Wolfpack with a ninth place finish at 35:57 which helped the men's cross country team finish second at the 2016 Region XX Championships. Westmoreland's top place finishers on the afternoon were: Regis Pekar 9th, Cameron Murtland's 12th at 36:45, Jason Lohr 15th at 37:13, Matthew Jenkins at 17th at 38:06 rounded out the top times on the afternoon. Head coach Pat Comer noted, "I'm a little surprised, our guys ran hard and came out of nowhere and finished strong today. I'm so proud of them and their efforts, they did awesome!" With their Region XX runner-up title, they've punched their ticket to the 2016 NJCAA National Cross Country Championships at Canandaigua, NY November 12.
