WOLFPACK TEAMS POST STRONG SHOWING AT CHATHAM INVITATIONAL

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Westmoreland County Community College Cross Country teams competed at the Chatham Invitational Saturday. As the only Junior College team in the field comprised of NCAA Division I and III and NAIA schools, the women's team finished fifth out of seven teams.

Leading the way for the Wolfpack was sophomore Chelsi Bartlow with an outstanding time of 28:21, placing her 19th overall. She was followed by sophomore Megan Sensue finishing 39th; sophomore Rose Lavelle finished 43rd; freshman Kaitlyn Ambrose was 44th, and sophomore Maddy Malone finished 45th.

Due to some injuries on the men's side, only two Wolfpack men competed. On a very challenging course, sophomore Josh Gelet and freshman Scott Meck both set new personal bests at 8k by over two minutes.

The Wolfpack will be back in action this Saturday at home head-to-head against Penn Highlands in a coed 5k race on the 5-Star trail, which is on campus but is not the team's home course. The race will start at 9:30 am.
