Jesso named softball coach at WCCC

Rachel Jesso has been hired by Westmoreland County Community College as its new head women's softball coach. Director of Student Life/Athletics Dick Holler stated, "We thought Rachel stood out in the interview process with her enthusiasm and detailed insight in moving the softball program forward.  We felt her recent playing experiences from a top level NCAA program will benefit our players development and we think she's a great fit for the program.  We welcome her to WCCC athletics."  Rachel  is a 2013 graduate from Mt. Union College and team captain, where she played 4 years of college softball and  led Mt. Union to the 2013 Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Championships and regional playoffs.  She stated, "I'm extremely excited to say the least, as I'm looking forward to getting started.  I'm thankful for this opportunity."   She begins her coaching career on Saturday, March 15 at home against Corning CC in a weekend series.
