Softball sweeps Tigers

WCCC received solid pitching performances from Karlie King and Melanie Welc as WCCC swept CCAC South 6-3 and 10-0 in region xx play. King picked up the circle win in the opener as  Welc spun an impressive shutout during the nightcap facing just 17 batters in the shortened run rule game.  Renee Jones's 2 RBI  double in the 5^th inning broke open a close game while Whitney Thompson added 2 hits.  In game two, Welc helped herself at the plate adding 3 hits as Becca Schnur added a triple.  Derica Crowley turned in a solid defensive effort along with chipping in 3 RBI's.  WCCC played a flawless defensive game as they didn't commit an error in either game. The Wolfpack improve to 4-4 on the season.
