Softball starts season with win

Youngwood, PA - The softball team started their season with a 27 - 6 win over Garrett College. Rachel Gerstel gave up 2 hits, had 2 walks and 5 strike outs in 4 innings pitched.  Her first win as a college pitcher.

WCCC had 8 stolen bases along with 0 errors in this game.  Only one game was played due to a weather delay.

Top hitters were Brianna Crawford 2 for 3, Mackenzie Mull with 2 walks, Derica Crowley with a bunt for a base hit and walk.  Leigha Arison was on base four times due to drawing 2 walks and 2 hits by the pitcher.  Becca Shnur had 2 walks. Derica Crowley's bunt scored Lindsay Herron and RBI's by Crowley, Brianna Crawford

Weather permitting,  the Wolfpack will play Anne Arundel Community College at home this Saturday.
