Softball Splits with Montgomery College-MD

Youngwood, PA - Montgomery College of Maryland took game one of the Region XX double header by a score of 13-3. Not much went right for the Wolfpack as miscues played a large part in the loss along with solid play by the visiting Raptors. Brianna Crawford went 2 for 3 in the opener, as Alexa DeFrank and Shelby Kimmick both doubled in the loss. In the night cap, WCCC came from behind for a thrilling 8-7 win.  Brianna Crawford singled home Jessica Taylor with the winning run as it was Taylor's double in the bottom of the seventh that set up the heroics for Crawford. Kimmick and Brittany Crawford both added 2 RBI's apiece while Taylor had herself a day at the plate, going 3 for 4 while scoring three times. Rachael Gerstel picked up the circle win on the afternoon as WCCC improved to 5-1. Up next, WCCC will travel to Garrett College on Wednesday for another key Region XX matchup. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. between the Wolfpack and Lakers.
