Softball Advances to Regional Finals

Arnold, MD - Timely hitting allowed the Wolfpack to score early on Montgomery College in the first round of the Region XX Softball Championships.  Westmoreland CCC  went on to defeat the Raptors of Montgomery College 14-5  and advanced to the Region XX championship game.  Alexa DeFrank, Leigha Arison and Brianna Crawford all swung a hot bat as they added two hits apiece while DeFrank and Arison each tagged in doubles in the win. The trio also counted for 7 RBI's on the afternoon as it was Crawford's bat that led the all hitter with three RBI's. Rachael Gerstel picked up the win while striking out 6 batters which improved the Wolfpack to 19-5 on the season.  Due to the  inclement weather on the weekend, the tournament will finish up early this week to determine the Region XX Champion.
