Smith sets school record
Freshman guard, Alyssa Smith didn't know what to expect in a recent road game at Penn State Dubois on January 27th. The 5'3 point guard was battling flu-like symptoms before the game as it turned out, she turned in a record breaking performance on the evening. Smith went on to set a school record of 9 steals in WCCC's 72-60 win over the Lions. On the evening, she finished with 9 steals, 6 points, and 5 assists. Head coach Scott Hillen stated, "Alyssia did a great job of giving inside help and it seemed like there were two of her out there at times. She was all over the floor in making everyone step up their game and they followed her efforts. This will be a night she'll always remember."
