Prince George's ends women's basketball season
The women's basketball season came to an end on Saturday during the Region XX division III womens basketball regional's, as Prince George's CC used precise shooting down the stretch in 68-58 defeat of WCCC. It was a battle all afternoon as WCCC had numerous opportunities to take control of the game but just couldn't close the deal in keeping pressure on the Owls. PGCC held a 6 point lead with just under 3 minutes to go as WCCC missed several scoring chances to even up the score but it just wasn't to be. The Wolfpack received an outstanding performance from sophomore guard/forward, Shalia Williams who was tabbed the game high scorer with 21 points on the afternoon. Devon Larkin finished out her final game of her freshman season with a solid 15 points to close out WCCC's record of 17-10.
