Walsh sets women's basketball record

Youngwood, PA - Sophomore point guard Wendi Walsh set a new WCCC women's basketball assist record with 13 assists on January 8th in a 77-48 win over CCAC-South. Walsh's play making ability was appreciated by her teammates as she set up 7 of the 8 players on the evening to score. Head women's basketball coach Scott Hillen commented, "I'm happy for Wendi, she's such a hard worker and leader on our team and most importantly she's a very unselfish player. Wendi sees the floor so well and she's the spark plug to our offense, we go where Wendi goes. She definitely makes our players and team better." Walsh is averaging 6.9 assists per game which ranks her 5th among the top assist leaders in all of the NJCAA Division III basketball. Wendi will be counted on heavily to lead the Wolfpack down the stretch and hopefully to another WPCC championship and NJCAA regional berth.
