Brisbane New Women's Basketball Coach

Youngwood, PA - Gene Brisbane was recently hired by Westmoreland County Community College as its new women's head basketball coach. Director of Student Life/Athletics Dick Holler stated, "I'm extremely excited to have Gene lead our women's basketball program. I believe he can take it to the next level as he's hit the ground running  and we welcome him to WCCC athletics." Brisbane spent more than 20 years as the head women's coach at Hempfield High school as he replaces former head Coach Scott Hillen who moved on to Penn State Fayette. Brisbane mentions. "It's something I definitely missed and I'm looking forward to this opportunity at WCCC which will allow me to do what I love to do and that's coach basketball. It will be fun preparing for practices, games and recruiting. I'm excited and thankful for this opportunity and I'm really looking forward to it." Coach Brisbane and the Wolfpack will open their season at Penn State Greater Allegheny on November 3 at 6:00 PM
