Pioneers Take Down Wolfpack

Butler, PA - Butler County Community College used a strong  first half scoring which saw them race out to a 40-29 halftime lead and then hung on to defeat WCCC 68-59 in women's basketball action. The Wolfpack used a strong second surge on both sides of the ball as they cut the Pioneers lead down to 6 with 2:40 left in the game but WCCC couldn't cash in on their many scoring opportunities late which was also aided by several key turnovers as well.  Brooke Kalp and Kara Foster both registered 17 points apiece as Chelsea Szakal netted 16 points for WCCC as they dropped to (8-10).  WCCC will host Butler on Wednesday starting at 5:00 p.m.
