Closing Seconds Stings Women's Basketball

DuBois, PA - In a very close and intense game on the road at Penn State Dubois, Kylee Surike hit two free throws with 10 seconds left to tie the game up at 59. However, a tripping call gave the Lions a chance at the foul line with 4.7 seconds left, in which they sank one of two FT to secure a 60-59 win over Westmoreland dropping the Pack to 2-3. The Wolfpack had several chances to take over the the lead in the closing minute but just couldn't get a shot to fall. Alyssa Kalp scored a season high 21 points, as Surike added her season high of 15 points as well. Kara Foster splashed in 11 points.  The Wolfpack will host Pennsylvania Highlands Community College on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
