YOUNGWOOD, Pa. - The Westmoreland County Community College volleyball team played its closest match of the season Thursday before falling 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-23) to visiting Penn Highlands in a WPCC match.
Freshman Haley Kolar recorded a strong match with five kills, four aces and a pair of digs. Freshman Anna Edmonds matched her with a team-high five kills, while setter Morgan Brown passed out nine assists. Sophomore Julia Jumper chipped in with two aces and a pair of digs.
The Wolfpack are off Friday before returning to the court Saturday in a tri-match. Westmoreland will play Penn State-DuBois at 10 am and follow that with a match against home team Penn State-Fayette at 12 pm.
