Women's Cross Country Finishes 3rd at Regionals

Reston, VA - The women's cross country team placed three runners in the top ten at regionals as Alexa DeFrank time of 23:30 in the wind and cold was good enough for a fourth place earning her a regional medal. Teammates, Gina Mattei's time of 24:20 placed her seventh and Kaylin Heatley tenth place finish of 25:46 rounded out the top times for Westmoreland. Other top finishers were Marissa Luden 17th at 27:15 and Shelby Kimmick at 19th with a time 29:27 which rounded out the top scoring times. Head women's coach Pat Comer commented, "Seven of our nine runners did their personal best and I'm so proud of what they've accomplished this year as a team and individually." Their strong finish to the season has earned them a trip to the 2016 NJCAA National Cross Country Championships at Canandaigua, NY November 12
