What are your plans after finishing at Westmoreland?

After I finish at Westmoreland, I plan on taking my boards and then working at a hospital or facility that focuses on labor and delivery or women's health. I have always known that I wanted to work with children in one way or another. The other major that I considered before nursing was a Special Education teacher.

You already played two sports at Westmoreland. Is there another sport you wish you could have played?

Besides playing basketball and softball, I would have like to play volleyball as well or maybe even soccer. I have never played those sports but think they would be fun and challenging to learn.

What is your favorite memory as an athlete at Westmoreland?

My favorite memory of playing basketball at Westmoreland is winning the WPCC championship game. Then playing in the Region XX tournament championship game as well and almost getting the chance to play in nationals in my freshman year at the college.

Why was Westmoreland the right choice for you?

Westmoreland was the right choice for me because it helped me get a degree in a field that is in high demand without putting me thousands of dollars in debt. You actually get more hands-on clinical experience than other four-year programs and they really make sure you are ready with the skills and knowledge to help you become an exceptional nurse.

What is the #1 goal you want to achieve within 10 years?

In 10 years, I would like to have my master's degree in Nursing and be a Women's health nurse practitioner. Within those 10 years, I may also do some traveling nurse work so that I can travel and see different parts of the US and take plenty of trips to see other parts of the world outside of our country as well.
