Baseball Opens WPCC Conference Play vs CCAC

Tuesday afternoon Westmoreland played host to WPCC Confernece rival CCAC in a single game.  This marked the first baseball game between the two teams since the spring of 2019, due to the pandemic, with the Wolfpack winning 12-3.  With the threat of weather in the area, the game was moved from a 4pm first pitch to a 2pm start.

Leo Bravo took the mound for the Wolfpack, and was outstanding in the win.  Bravo allowed no runs, and only one hit and striking out six, over his six innings of work.  Jared Wagner came in to shut the door for the three inning save.

The offense was led by four members of the Wolfpack who collected two hits each.  Cameron DePalma, Dom Koch, Bradon Patton, and Jake Piktel each had two hits.  Kameron Pritts added a single, and John Gennaro added a two run double.  Patton also collected a double and drove in three runs as well.

This game is the first of four games vs CCAC this season, these two teams will meet again on Saturday April 9th for a double header at CCAC.  Between now and then, Westmoreland will travel to Garrett College for a double header vs the Lakers on Friday April 8th (first pitch will be at noon).
