Wolfpack Baseball Open’s Region 20 Play

Sunday afternoon saw the Westmoreland County Community College travel to Anne Arundel Community College to kickoff the NJCAA Region 20 portion of their schedule. 

Game one saw Matthew Perez take the mound and pitch 4.2 innings allowing 5 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3. Dylan Stonebraker pitched 1.1 inning m giving up 1 earned run, one hit, with 2 strikeouts.

Offensively the Wolfpack had four hits by Brady Stivenson, Jacob Smith, Anthony Massari,  and Dyson Murner.  Stivenson scored the Wolfpacks only run on a wild pitch in the top of the third inning. Westmoreland lost game one 7-1.

 

Game two saw Anne Arundel win 10-0 in five innings. Matthew Perez collected two hits and a stolen base in game two. Stivenson had Westmoreland's other hit. Travis Keister went 4 innings facing 22 batters. He surrendered 5 earned runs and struck out 2. 

The Wolfpack (0-3) will next travel to Hagerstown Community College for their next Region 20 matchup. First pitch of the double header will be at 1pm.
