Offensive Explodes at Ripken Experience

Thursday night was a big evening for the Westmoreland County Community College baseball team.  It was their first game down at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, it saw the Wolfpack earn their first win of the season, and it was the 750th career win for Head Coach Mike Draghi here at Westmoreland.

It was a big night for freshman Matthew Perez, who went 4-4 with a home run and 3 RBI's in Westmoreland's 12-1 win.

The Wolfpack started out fast scoring five runs in the first inning, and two runs each in the second and third innings.  They then finished off the scoring with three runs in the sixth.

The Wolfpack had a season high 12 hits in the games.  Perez who had 4, Jake Smith Dyson Murner, Jack Mcbride, and Brady Stivenson each had doubles in the game.  Bobby Etze, Ty Husband, Matt Scarpa, and Dylan Stonebraker each added a hit a piece for the Wolfpack.

On the mound Travis Keister had his best outing of the season as well.  He went all six innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 7.  This is Travis's first win of the season.
