Westmoreland Travels to Montgomery College

Westmoreland traveled to Montgomery College on Friday for a Region 20 doubleheader. It was an important matchup for both teams as the wolfpack came into the game with a record of 4-16 and the Raptors were 8-16. 

Westmoreland started game one off strong as they scored seven runs in the first inning. Montgomery tightened the game in the bottom of the second when they scored five runs. Both teams would then go scoreless until the top of the seventh inning. That is when Westmoreland scored two more runs and went on to win the game by a score of nine to five. Rightfielder, Jake Gedekoh, led the wolfpack with three hits and three RBIs.

In game two, Westmoreland started off the scoring by getting a run in the first inning. Montgomery then got hot from the plate and scored ten runs in the bottom of the first to open up a ten to one lead. The wolfpack came right back in the second inning and scored two runs to close the gap. After several more innings of play, both teams would score several runs and Montgomery would go on to win the game by a score of sixteen to five. The wolfpack would finish the game with eleven hits. Vincent Dacules had three of those eleven hits and he also had an RBI.
