Westmoreland Splits Doubleheader with CCAC

Westmoreland Splits their doubleheader against CCAC in a Region 20 matchup. With the regular season winding down, these games were important for both teams. Westmoreland and CCAC are battling for the last playoff spot in the postseason. 

In game one, CCAC jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first two innings of play. Both teams would score a run in the third inning to make the score CCAC 7 and Westmoreland 1. Neither team would score again in the game and that would end up being the final score. Second baseman Jacob Smith had one hit and one RBI for the wolfpack.

In game two, Both teams would start the game scoring one run each in the first inning. Then CCAC would take the lead in the third as they scored two runs and the wolfpack scored one run. Westmoreland tied the game in the bottom of the fifth on leftfielder Brandon Bell's single. The wolfpack would take the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning scoring three runs. CCAC cut it close scoring two runs in the top of the seventh inning but the wolfpack held on to win the game 6-5. Bell lead Westmoreland with three hits and three RBIs.
