SLOW START SINKS WOLFPACK IN LOSS TO ANNE ARUNDEL

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. - The Westmoreland Community College men's basketball team had four score in double figures and tallied 58 points in the second half, but a big Anne Arundel halftime lead was too much to overcome and the Wolfpack dropped a 105-84 decision to the Riverhawks in Friday's night's action at the Westmoreland Tip-Off Tournament.

Anne Arundel used a strong defensive effort to feed their first half surge, as they raced out to the 59-26 lead by the break. Westmoreland would outscore the visitors 58-46 after intermission, which included seven three-pointers, but it wasn't enough to mount a comeback.

Guard Joel Lonigro and Cam'ron McKinney led the scoring efforts with 22 points each, with McKinney going for 17 in the second half and Lonigro pouring in 16 after the break. Also notching double digits was Christian Montgomery and Dylan Bubarth with 10 each and forward Evan Curley dropped in eight points and had a strong night on the boards.

The Wolfpack will conclude the tournament Saturday when they take on Hocking College at 5 pm. Hocking won the first game on Friday over Penn Highlands.
