WOLFPACK COME UP JUST SHORT AT DUBOIS 86-78

DUBOIS, Pa. - Sophomore Cam'ron McKinney scored 24 points to lead four scorers in double figures, but the Westmoreland County Community College men's basketball team came up just short on the road Tuesday at Penn State-DuBois, falling 86-78.

The Wolfpack trailed 38-31 at halftime and the Lions extended their lead to as many as 19 early in the second half. Westmoreland slowly began chipping away and moved as close as six at 67-61 on a Jared Valenti jumper with 6:32 to play. That was as close as the Wolfpack would get in the game, as DuBois made 7-of-10 free throws in the final 1:16 to clinch the win.

Pacing the Westmoreland offense was McKinney, who knocked down four three-pointers on his way to 24 points. Also turning in a big game was Christian Montgomery with 17 points and he added six rebounds and three steals. Rounding out the double figure scorers was Dan McQuaide with 11 off the bench and Tyler Diggs with 10 before fouling out.

The Wolfpack are back on the floor Friday night when they host Garrett College at 7 pm.
