Slow Start Sinks Wolfpack in Loss to PItt-Titusville

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. - Visiting Pitt-Titusville raced out to a 54-27 halftime lead and went on to post a 114-85 victory over the Westmoreland County Community College men's basketball team Wednesday night in WPCC action.

A three by Joel Lonigro had the Wolfpack within one at 14-13 with 13 minutes left in the first half but Titusville scored 31 of the next 38 points in building the big halftime lead. Westmoreland played even in the second half, getting outscored by just a bucket, but the damage was done as Titusville came away with the victory.

The Wolfpack efforts were highlighted by Dan McQuaide, who scored a season-high 27 points and he added seven rebounds and six assists. Three others scored in double digits, including Cam McKinney with 13, Travis McCoy with 11 and Dylan Bubarth with 10.

Westmoreland will play their final regular season home game Friday evening when they host CCAC at 6 pm.
