Men's Basketball Looses at the Buzzer

Friday night the men's basketball team took on the Black Bears from Penn Highlands.  The Black Bears are 4-1 in the WPCC Conference, while Westmoreland is 1-2 in conference play.

After a hard played first half that ended at 46-46, this game came down to the last 18 seconds.  Tied at 99-99 with 18 seconds to go, the Wolfpack's Joel Lonigro drove in for a layup making it 101-99 wit 13 seconds left.  The Black Bears came right down the court and hit a 3 with 5 seconds to go to take a 102-101 lead.  unfortunately the Wolfpack was unable to answer that shot falling by 1 point to Penn Highlands.  After the game Coach Johnson said "We're proud of how we were able to come back, after being down 10 to start the game, and fight back to make it one heck of a game."

Jakir Hampton led the way for the Wolfpack with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.  Noah Raynor-Savage also added in 22 points and 8 assists. While Joel Lonigro added 21 points and 9 rebounds as well.  Brandon Baird added his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Jason Pierre and Shawn Wilson hit the score sheet with 11 points and 10 points.
