Wolfpack Open Region 20 Play

Wednesday night saw the Westmoreland County Community College basketball team played their first NJCAA Region 20 game, as they played host to Garrett College.  Garrett jumped out to a 15-2 lead to start the game, before the Wolfpack cut a 21-point lead down to 2 points coming out of the half.  Garrett eventually pulled away earning an 85-65 win.

Lorenzo Gardner once again was the leading scorer for the Wolfpack as he scored 16.  Freshman Colin Masten scored 11 points as well.  Both Gardner and Masten have scored double digit points in every game this season but one.  Freshman Alex Lowry snagged 11 rebounds for the Wolfpack.  Marvel McGowan dished out 8 assists.  Elijah Smith added 2 blocks and 8 points against the Lakers.

With the loss Westmorland moves to 2-6 to start the season.  They will play another Region 20 game this Saturday at home against Beaver County Community College at 1pm.
