Golf Tees Off the Spring Season

Golf Tees Off the Spring Season

Friday afternoon may have been very cold and very wet, but that did not stop the Westmoreland County Community College men's and women's golf teams from teeing off their spring season! After their first match at CCAC was canceled due to weather Westmoreland played host at Glengarry golf course to CCAC, Penn Highlands, and Butler Community Colleges.

Fighting the elements, freshmen Connor Iarrusi had the low round for the match with a 75. Two strokes behind came freshman Carson McCully with a 77, and taking second place. Rylan Keslar's 87 was good enough for a fifth place finish. Chris Saverski, Sullivan Smith and Bryan Materkowski rounded out the member of the Wolfpack shooting a 93, 98, and 102 for the match.

Playing unopposed, sophomore women's team member Kylie Kadas played unopposed in the event. She kicked off her spring season with a very respectable 97 to start off the season.

This match shows it should be a very competitive season as the teams are prepare to play for the NJCAA Region 20 Championship in a few weeks. The Wolfpack will travel to Arthur golf course to play in a match hosted by Butler community college Friday afternoon.
