Cross Country with four in the Top 10 at La Roche

On a cold, wet, and muddy Friday evening, the Westmoreland County Community College, cross country teams took part in the very wet La Roche College Invitational.

The women's team only ran three runners in the event, and placed all three runners in the top 10. Larissa Vozar was the first runner to cross the line in 4th place with the time of 24:02. Next to cross the line was freshman Savanna Orner, with the time of 24:30, which was good for 7th place overall. Rounding out the women's team today was Makayla Lander finishing in 10th Place overall with her time of 26:40. With her4th place finish, Vozar moves into second place with 7 top ten finished in her Wolfpack career.  She is now just one top 10 finish away from being tied for the most top 10 finishes in school history with eight in two years.

For the men's event, only sophomores, Robbie Halinka and Andy Petrazzi took part in the event. Halinka ran a very strong race finishing in sixth place overall with a time of 19:30. Petrazzi ran a strong race on the rain soaked course placing 12th overall with the time of 20:59.

Next up for the Wolfpack will be a return trip to their home course for the NJCAA Region 20 Championships this coming Saturday, where they hope to earn the opportunity to run at the national championship meet.
