WOLFPACK SOFTBALL SWEEPS CCAC-SOUTH

WEST MIFFLIN, PA - On Saturday April 7th the Westmoreland Community College softball team had all around team wins in sweeping a double header at CCAC-South by scores of 18-0 and 25-0.

In game one, the Wolfpack offense had many standout hitters led by Alexis McKnight, who had four hits and drove in six runs, while Brianna McCully also had four hits. In addition, Chelsey Frock was 2-2 at the plate and drove in four runs and Chelsi Bartlow had three hits and drove in four runs. In the circle, Hope Hixson shut out CCAC- South with a career high of 13 strikeouts while only allowing one hit. 

In game two Hixson had another shut out with 11 strike outsand only allowed two hits. She also excelled at the plate by going 3-3, while scoring five runs and driving in one. Other Wolfpack standouts included McKnight, who was 3-3 and drove in five runs, while Frock was 4-4 at the plate, drove in six runs, including an inside the park Grand Slam. To finish out a great Wolfpack softball double header, Samantha Poklembo had two hits and three RBI's.

Wolfpackwill be at home on Tuesday April 7th, first pitch is at 3:00pm. GO WOLFPACK!
