Westmoreland Falls to Allegany

Wednesday afternoon the Allegany College of Maryland softball team came to Westmoreland to play a region 20 matchup in women's softball. Game one went to Allegheny 14-0 in five innings. Westmoreland blanked Allegany for the first two innings before Allegheny scored 14 runs in the third through fifth innings.

Offensively, Abigail Kratochvil, Alexis, Jellison, and Sydney Matijevic, each had a hit in the game, with Matijevic hitting a double in the bottom of the fourth inning. Pitching wise Kaidence Thomas went four innings allowing 12 ear runs on 11 hits while striking out one. Matijevic, the game starter, went one inning allowing no hits no runs, and one strike out. 

 

Game two went to Allegany as well. 13-1. Thomas, Jellison, Matijevic and Ruby Rojas all had hits in game two. While Thomas and Matijevic each had a double, and Matijevic had the run scored for Westmoreland. 

Matijevic went all five innings in game two allowing 8 earn runs on 10 hits. The Wolfpack are now off for spring break, before traveling to CCBC Catonsville on Tuesday for another Region 20 doubleheader.
