The Westmoreland women's basketball team played Penn State Dubois in a close game Tuesday. With Westmoreland trailing by 13 points at halftime, the lady wolfpack battled back in the second half to make it a one possession game. The comeback was spurred by a tenacious defense and some big shots. Westmoreland trailed only by 2 points with 15 seconds remaining in the game. The final score ended up being Penn State Dubois 58 and Westmoreland 54. It was a valiant effort by the lady wolfpack who played the game with only 5 players and 1 fouling out late in the game. Leading the way in scoring for Westmoreland was Mercedes Majors with 20 points and Makayla Boda with 19 points. The next game for the lady wolfpack will be Wednesday December 14 at home against CCAC with a tip off time scheduled for 5pm.
