Lady Wolfpack Start Second Half of the Season Against Penn State Dubois

The Westmoreland lady wolfpack basketball team started the second half of their season with a home game against Penn State Dubois. For most of the first quarter, the teams traded baskets and Westmoreland showed they were ready to compete. When the quarter ended, Westmoreland trailed by 6. With the team playing tough defense and some hot shooting from Mercedes Majors they cut the lead to only 3 points at halftime. Westmoreland continued to battle and compete hard in the second half but the team found themselves in foul trouble. The final score ended with Penn State Dubois winning by a score of 57-44. Mercedes Majors led the lady wolfpack with 21 points and 6 steals. Westmoreland's next opponent will be the Community College of Beaver County on Monday Jan.16 at home with tip off scheduled for 5pm.
