Willochell has Career Day to Lead Westmoreland in Win Against CCAC

The Westmoreland lady wolfpack traveled to CCAC on Saturday afternoon for a game against the wildcats. Chloe Willochell had a career high in both points and rebounds as she had 31 points and 17 rebounds to lead Westmoreland to a 57-39 victory. When asked about the key to her career game she responded "It's my last year so I want to make the most of it. Personally, this season I have improved so much and I'm just having so much fun with my friends." Willochell had 21 of the team's 29 points in the first half as the lady wolfpack took a 6 point lead into halftime. Westmoreland's defense held CCAC to only 16 points in the second half but also limited the wildcat's scoring opportunities by cleaning up on the glass. Willochell was asked if she knew how many points she scored when the game ended and she said "I don't worry about how many points I score during the game because the game isn't all about scoring. There are other components to winning, like rebounding. I was able to get rebounds and put them back in." Assistant coach Scott Morrison added " Chloe ran the floor extremely well, her hustle and hard work paid off because it put her in a position to get rebounds and put backs. She has also put extra time in the gym working on her shot. I am very happy to see that hard work paying off, she's a tough player." The win was Westmoreland's third out of their last six games. Up next will be a home game against Garrett at noon on Sunday.
