Wolfpack Earn 3-0 Win
Tuesday evening the Westmoreland County Community College Volleyball team traveled to Johnstown to take on the Black Bears of Penn Highlands Community College.
The Wolfpack came out hot in game one winning 25-17, and setting the tone for the rest of the night. Game two came right down to the wire with the Westmoreland coming out on top 25-23. In game three the Wolfpack earned a 25-14 win to win the match 3-0. This moves Westmoreland to a 2-4 record on the season.
The leaders of the pack on Tuesday were Grace Fischer, Emily Schuck, and Bryn Shearer with 6 kills each. Freshman Skyler Durst had 21 assist and 11 service aces on the night, 9 aces in game one. Sarah Fulton also got on the stat sheet with 10 digs.
Next week will be a busy week as the Wolfpack will be hosting three home games next week. Tuesday the 26th Westmoreland will host Garrett College at 6pm, and on Friday the 29th Westmoreland will be hosting a tri-match with Anne Arundel Community College and Howard Community College. Westmoreland will play Anne Arundel to kick things off at 4:30pm, followed by Howard vs Anne Arundel at 6pm, and the night cap will see Howard vs Westmoreland around 8pm.
