Volleyball Splits Tri-Match

The Wolfpack women's volleyball team returned to the court at Beaver County Community College Thursday, to take part in a tri match between Frederick Community College, Beaver, and Westmoreland. Westmoreland ended up earning a split, losing the first match to Frederick 3-1, and defeating beaver in the second match 3-0. 

Against Frederick freshman, Emily Schuck and Grace Fischer combined for 18 kills, nine each. Fischer also added two service aces in the match. Also, freshmen Skyler Durst had 20 assist in the four sets.

In their second matchup of the night against Beaver, Schuck again led the way in kills with 8 this in the match. Sophomore, Bryn Shearer added in 7 kills. Durst set up 14 assists, giving her 34 between the two matches. 

As the season winds down, the Wolfpack still has three matches left on the schedule. Saturday they will host another tri-match at Westmoreland. The first match up at noon will see a Westmoreland host Cecil College. While the second matchup will see Westmoreland host the College of Southern Maryland around 2pm. The final match will see the College of Southern Maryland taking on Cecil at approximately 4pm.
