Westmoreland Women Win Mt Aloysius Invite

On Saturday the Westmoreland County Community College Women's Cross Country team took part in the Mt Aloysius invitational in Cresson Pa.

This was the first event of the season where the ladies team ran as a full team of five runners, and all 5 runners placed in the top 10.  Winning her first college race, freshman Larissa Vozar broke the tape with a winning time of 30:42.  Vozar was followed closely behind by teammate Brynne Davis who finished in second place (30:46). Finishing in fourth and fifth places were Makayla Lander and Ryleigh Kelley with times of 32:22 and 32:44.  Rounding out the scorers for the Wolfpack was Chloe Willochell, who was competing in her first college cross country event, placing 8th with a time of 39:53.  The ladies team defeated La Roche College by a score of 19-36.

The ladies team now gets a weekend off, and then will participate in the La Roche Invitational on Friday 10-14-22 at 4:30pm.  That will be their final tune up before the NJCAA Region 20 Championships on 10-22-22 at Westmoreland.
