The Wolfpack Take on Mount Aloysius Invitation

It may have been a foggy day on Saturday, but three members of the Westmoreland's Cross Country teams were able to found their way to the podium with top ten finishes at the Mount Aloysius Invitational on Saturday.

Adam Halinka, who has continued to improve every race this season earned his first top 10 finish of the season at the Mountie Invite.  Adam placed 8th overall with a new career person best time of 21:43 for the 5k distance.  Tyler Stone also had a season best time at 5k, placing 14th overall, with a time of 24:57.

On the women's side Kylie Klinger and Savanna Orner both placed in the top 10, finishing 7th and 10th overall.  Klnger finished in a time of 24:29, and Orner with a time of 25:49.  Freshman Lexie Kepple was the next member of the Wolfpack to cross the line in 12th place, 26:42.  Eva Lichty, in her first year of cross country continues to improve as well placing 22nd with a time of 30:55, while in her first college race, Avery Bailey placed 27th in 37:12.  As for the team scoring, Westmoreland placed 3rd overall out of the 5 team field.

Next up for the Wolfpack will be a trip to the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds for a meet hosted by the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg starting at 10am on Saturday October 5th.
