Big Comeback Earns WPCC Baseball Title!

Youngwood, PA - Butler County Community College took  an early lead, 2-0 in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship game then jumped out to an 8-1 lead. The Wolfpack responded by chipping away and scoring one in the third on an RBI triple by Bobby Thompson, bringing home Jake Columbus. The Wolfpack scored four runs in the fourth inning highlighted by Thompson's  RBI double, scoring Matt Hogue.  WCCC sealed the win with eight runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Matt Callaway which then lead a two-run error, followed by RBI single by Ron Baron, while Jake Columbus plated two extra base hits followed by a towering two-run home run by Tyler Henry which put the Pack ahead as they never looked back in an 18-10 come from behind win. Rodrigo Sarmiento got the win as he allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings. Sarmiento struck out four, walked three and gave up three hits.
