Baseball Drops Opener to Sinclair Community College

Dayton, OH - WCCC started off their 2016 season with a bang as they jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a RBI single by Mitch Matlas. Sinclair matched WCCC's scoring after pushing across several runs over the next few innings to jump up on the Pack 6-1. An RBI double by Anthony Faulk cut the Sinclair CC lead to 6-2 but that's the closet the Wolfpack would get as they dropped a 13-2 decision. In the nightcap, Mitch Matlas went 2 for 4 with two doubles as Giuseppe Schiano added an RBI single. However, Sinclair CC scored often to lock up the game 15-5 which saw the Pack drop to 0-2 on the young season.

Up next for the Wolfpack is their spring trip to Myrtle Beach on Wednesday which has them facing off against New River Community College and Lackawanna College in a doubleheader starting on Thursday.
