Baseball Sqeezes Past Garrett

Youngwood, PA - Westmoreland CCC and Garrett College passed the lead back and forth eight times on Wednesday at WCCC, but in the end the Wolfpack pulled out an 8-7 win over Garrett. Tyler Henry pounded out his first home run of the season while Mitch Matlas had a hot bat going 3-5, driving in a run and scoring one.  Relief pitcher, Ronald Baron got the job done on his way to the win as he allowed two runs over 3 1/3 innings, striking out one and walking one while surrendering just three hits. With the win, the Wolfpack stand at 8-9  and will try to tack on another win in the win column as they travel to CCAC South on Thursday for a key Region XX matchup against the Tigers. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m.
