Baseball WIns 3 of 4 Over the Weekend

Butler, PA - It was a perfect day for the Wolfpack as they totaled 35 total runs in a 14-1 and 21-7 wins over Butler County Community College at Butler, Pa on Saturday. Garrett Woodburn toed the rubber as he kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven and allowing one earned run, five hits and no walks over five innings. Anthony Faulk had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits as one of those extra's was his first homerun of the season.  Game two saw Mitch Matlas, Giuseppe Schiano, Tyler Henry and Vinnie Shoff all scattered RBI's as Faulk was perfect at the plate going 3 for 3. The Wolfpack evened up their record for the season at 10-10.  Sunday saw the Wolfpack hot on the road once again as they defeated Garrett College 10-6 in the opener and then dropped the night cap 13-6. Mitch Matlas swung a hot bat collecting three hits while Michael Baird got the win allowing six runs over 5 1/3 innings. Baird struck out two, walked six and gave up seven hits as Ronald Baron recorded the save. Rafael Amanau tossed in three RBI's in the win. The Lakers tossed out a 13-6 win over WCCC which was overs shadowed by Ronald Baron who finished a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate. Josh Sidary picked up the loss as the Wolfpack fell to 11-11 on the year. Up next, the Wolfpack host CCAC Boyce on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
